A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I'm Sarah, I live in Sidcup.
I have a love and a passion for dog's.
I have always shared my life with dogs from an early age, so I decided to retrain and begin a career working with dogs.
I have studied under the guidance of PACT- Professional Association of Canine Trainers- PACT's ethics, science led training methods and total approach to studying and welfare for both dog and companion stood out to me and l have enjoyed their learning process.
I am an accredited Member of the Professional Association of Canine Trainers (PACT). This means I have been taught, assessed and accredited for my ability to fully demonstrate Animal Training Instructor (ATI) skills set out by the Animal Training & Behaviour Council (ABTC), thus I am a Registered Animal Trainer. I support PACT's ethics and ethos and have signed their code of conduct which stipulates the use of non-aversive, ethical and effective methods only. I am extremely proud of the qualifications and will continue to gain knowledge via CPD, self-study, seminars, webinars, further courses and up to date research. This will all contribute to further understanding and passing knowledge on to my clients.
I have also studied with the IMDT-Institute of Modern Dog Trainers with a diploma and having completed various seminars.
I assist dog's and their companions at Dog Communication based in Surrey where dog's (who can be reactive) and their handlers are taught techniques to help them cope with things that trouble them. This inspired me to start this journey.
My own dog, Ted sometimes struggles with things that are unpredictable. Finding help for him where kindness and empathy were priority and consideration of a dog's emotional needs.
This sparked an enthusiasm that has never waned and led me to where I am today.
I applied skills to help him cope and I took on training techniques that helped him emotionally. He has been my greatest teacher and I love sharing my life with him.
I have trained under Scentwork UK to run classes and 1-1 sessions. This is such a rewarding activity for you and your dog, it enhances your dog's natural behaviour, it can be really beneficial in helping with emotional regulation, creating a bond and partnership, it's mentally stimulating and lots of fun.

All training takes time and patience when working together as a team with your dog or dogs. My training is reward based using things that your dog finds rewarding, this could be food, toys or life rewards. There are no 'quick fixes' in training and my aim is to help you to develop skills to enhance your life with your dog using kind, ethical, science based methods. I do not advocate the use of any aversive equipment or training methods.
SOME HAPPY CLIENTS
Sarah is a highly qualified and experienced dog trainer. She has a wonderful friendly, calm and unflappable personality and our dog Barney immediately took to her. Sarah is so easy to talk to, and express how you feel, and is such a warm and caring person. What we really love about her is that she makes you feel that your dog is the only dog she deals with, and she really gets to know your dog well. We can't thank her enough for all the help she has given with our endless questions over many months. We have been working with Sarah since summer 2022 when Barney was a puppy, on various training methods and tips. We cannot recommend her highly enough.
