Introduction
These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between The Canine & Co Classroom ("we", "us", "our") and the client ("you", "your") for the provision of dog training and/or behaviour services. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Services Provided
We offer professional dog training and behavioural consultation services either in-person or online, including:
One-to-one training sessions
Behavioural assessments and modification plans either remotely or in person
Puppy training
Group classes
Support via phone or email as agreed
Services are tailored to each dog’s needs based on information provided by the client.
Breed Restrictions
Due to current legislation and insurance limitations, we do not accept dogs classified as Banned Breeds under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 (as amended).
It is the client's responsibility to disclose their dog’s breed accurately. Any misrepresentation will result in immediate termination of services without refund.
Client Disclosure & Honesty
By engaging the services of [Practitioner’s Name], the Client agrees that all information provided regarding their animal’s behaviour, history, and any relevant circumstances is truthful, accurate, and complete to the best of their knowledge.
The Client acknowledges that withholding, misrepresenting, or failing to disclose pertinent details—such as previous aggression, medical conditions, or behavioural concerns—may pose a significant risk to the safety of the practitioner, the client, the animal, and others.
Under the Animal Welfare Act 2006, all animal owners and keepers have a legal duty of care to ensure the welfare of their animals and to prevent harm to others. The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and related legislation impose additional responsibilities to prevent a dog from being dangerously out of control.

Failure to provide full and honest disclosure may result in the immediate termination of services without refund, and [Practitioner’s Name] shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from such omissions. The Client accepts full responsibility for any legal repercussions that may arise from undisclosed behavioural issues or other relevant factors.
Booking and Payment
Services must be booked in advance.
Payment in full is required to confirm bookings.
Payments may be made via bank transfer or cash.
Prices are stated on our website or agreed upon in writing.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
Rescheduling requires 48 hours’ notice to avoid loss of payment.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, emergencies). In such cases, a full refund or rescheduled session will be offered.
Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for your dog at all times.
Dogs must be kept on a lead unless instructed otherwise.
You must follow the training and safety guidance provided.
Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult.
You agree to cooperate with safety measures, including the use of muzzles if required.
Behaviour and Safety
Dogs exhibiting aggression will be assessed individually.
We reserve the right to terminate any session immediately if the dog poses a safety risk.
No refund will be given in such cases if the client failed to disclose known risks.
Health and Vaccinations
Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, flea, and worm treatment unless exempt (proof may be requested).

Results and Guarantees
Training outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Success depends on consistent effort, environment, and client adherence to advice.
Behaviour is complex and may take time to modify.
We hold valid Public Liability Insurance.
You agree that participation is at your own risk.
We are not liable for injuries, loss, or damage except where caused by our proven negligence.
The client remains liable for their dog’s actions at all times.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
All client data is managed in line with UK GDPR.
Information is confidential and will not be shared unless required by law.
Intellectual Property
All training materials and session content remain the intellectual property of [Your Business Name] and must not be reproduced or distributed without written consent.
Complaints
Any complaints should be submitted in writing within 7 days of the session.
We aim to address concerns fairly and promptly.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the UK courts.
